Saying Goodbye to a Friend Today.....

Good morning Ephemeraologists,

It is with a heavy heart that I begin our week of posts with this news - I just found out that one of my biggest cheerleaders, Kathleen Neff, has passed away.

I "met" Kathleen via our good friends at Silver Crow Creations, by whom she began reading this blog.  We became friends in October of last year, though it seems like much longer.

Kathleen was the owner of InNOVAtions Studio, where she created the loveliest paintings, some shown here.  What is so amazing about Kathleen, though, is that she hardly ever talked about her own work - I think it gave her much joy to be a spokesperson for others.  She certainly was one for me.

When you get a moment, take a look at her Art Wanted portfolio and profile - you will see how enthusiastic Kathleen was about her art and just about everything in general.  I think she knew every single person on Facebook, and her positive attitude was more than catching.  In fact, I met other Facebook friends because of Kathleen, too!  I remember commenting to my husband Brian a few months ago that when I'm in my seventies I want to still be doing what Kathleen was doing - still creating and also connecting artists to each other.

As you're going through your day today, please keep Kathleen's family in your thoughts and prayers.   I will leave you with this quote from Kathleen:
"No better memories could have followed me through the years than those that have taken their place in my visual art!"
Isn't that lovely?

Goodbye, Kathleen.  Thank you for all of the kind words you spoke about me.  You were such a dear person. You touched so many lives, and you will be greatly missed by everyone.
