Ripping off the Band-Aid....
Today is my last post of Ephemeraology.
It's been a long and difficult decision to make, one that I've waffled on more than once. But I do believe it's time for me to move on.
During the last couple of months, my art adventures have taken some AMAZING turns: I've been teaching workshops all over the state (and in this vein, registration is now open for Inspire my Life, where I'll be teaching my "Collage like an Epehemeraologist" class); my work is featured in a couple of shops downtown (thank you Wood's Floral, Lillian's of Fond du Lac and Gallery & Frame Shop (come see me during Sassy Soiree on Saturday the 9th from 10-11 a.m.!); I've been involved in several charity projects; I have my monthly collages that I make for Retro Renovation ("Love the House You're In"!); I've been made a contributing editor for W5Ran- Broadcasting Collaborative Content; I've been doing tons of work for the new exhibits for our art co-op, Fond du Lac Visual Arts; and I'm the administrator for seven Facebook pages! It has been a whirlwind couple of months, but time that I wouldn't trade for the world. I am doing work that I love and I'm so lucky that I get to do this for a living.
But some sacrifices have to be made when one is so busy, and it pains me to say that my blog is a very unfortunate casualty.
I have had the most wonderful time writing these posts over the past 11 months, and I hope I've inspired you, dear readers. If I turned just one person on to the joys of ephemera, then this blog has not been wasted. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to check it out - I hope you enjoyed reading what I have to say!
Okay, I really do have one final thing to say, though - be sure to sign up for the ephemera giveaway that's running through tomorrow night at 5 p.m. CDT! :D
Have a great April 1, everyone! :D I'll announce the ephemera pack winner tomorrow night! :D
