I can't remember the first time I ordered from Silver Crow Creations but I know it's more than two years ago. I can tell you that I found this wonderful shop from a Google search, of all things (sometimes I just type in random words like "miniature groceries" and see what comes up)! I was very intrigued and literally spent HOURS looking around Pete and Annie's online store.
If you're wondering what they carry before you search online, I think the more appropriate question would be, "What DON'T they carry?". Not only do they have a section for vintage ephemera (which of course you know I like) but they also carry a huge line of Dia de los Muertos items, kitchy gifts, cards, black bird items (their name is Silver Crow Creations, after all!), and all sorts of funky things. My favorite thing about Silver Crow is their diversity. I've gotten some amazing rubber stamps, sequins, beads, shrines, labels, stickers and miniatures here (like the tiniest model railroad figures you've ever seen - see below!).
Pete and Annie are also very nice folks. Because of the nature of most of my purchases I'd say 80% of what I buy for my art comes from online shops. Pete and Annie are committed to customer service. I've never had a problem with an order but if I did I know it would be corrected right away. It's so nice to deal one-on-one with friendly people who share a love of the fun and funky!
In the coming months, we'll be doing giveaways for Silver Crow gift certificates! Be sure to check back often because they'll be given away on random dates. You certainly won't be disappointed!
I want to personally thank Pete and Annie for being so gracious and advertising on my blog. It's so nice to have you be a part of my site! :D
Here are some of the artworks I've created using items from Silver Crow Creations:
